Sculpture Brief:

This Expression of Interest, due by 28 Feb 2021, is to encourage artists to submit a range of artwork and interpretative landscape features to add to the exisiting trail features and installations.  We will compile a selection of approved submissions from this EOI round and pair the artist with Kangaroo Island Sculpture Trail patrons and/or seek further major sponsorship/funding/grants for different installations. We are seeking 2 categories of submissions:

CATEGORY #1 (up to $10,000)

We are delighted to place smaller installations into the Kangaroo Island Sculputre Trail. We are also interested in landscape features created within the trail to enhance the walking experience. Sometimes simple ideas can become amazing installations! Please don’t be limited by traditional forms of scultpure. We are open to all creative ideas.

CATEGORY #2 ($10-20K)

Artwork submissions including sculpture, landscape features and interactive events are all acceptable for this category. Often, we search for grant opportunities and
multiple patrons to bring larger scale installations and sculpture into the trail. Please consider the logistical components for larger works, how it will fit into the trail, transportation and installation requirements.

The Kangaroo Island Sculpture Trail is located within a delicate dune system, and design must give careful consideration to the installation process. Large machinery will not be allowed on site.
